Bambu Lab automatic material system designed for seamless multi-color and multi-material 3D printing. The AMS Lite holds up to 4 filament spools, provides automatic filament backup to reduce print interruptions, and features RFID filament sync for easy material recognition. Improved spool compatibility and a maintenance-friendly design make it a perfect match for Bambu Lab A1 series printers.

Will it fit my printer?

  • Fits: A1, A1 mini and A2L. One AMS Lite per printer, so up to 4 colors. On the A2L you can also add up to 4 AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT units; the AMS Lite then uses 3 of its 4 slots.
  • Not for: X1, P1, P2S, H2D, H2C, H2S or X2D. Those printers use the AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT.
  • Spools: 1.75 mm filament on spools 40-68 mm wide with a 53-58 mm center hole. The spring-loaded holders grip that hole, so cardboard spools work well.
  • Filament: PLA, PETG, ASA, PC, nylon (PA) and more, plus Bambu Lab TPU for AMS and PLA-CF. Not regular TPU or TPE, and no other carbon- or glass-fiber filament. Glow-in-the-dark PLA and Bambu Lab PETG-CF are not recommended: they can cause loading errors and wear it faster.
  • Open design: the spools sit in the open air and are not dried, so in humid weather put them back in a sealed bag after printing.
